This second seminar addresses the next four of the 12 seminars developed through a very successful federal grant of the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform. It is designed to utilize the Schools to Watch criteria to address the needs of middle grades leadership, including both administration and teacher leaders. Attendance at the first seminar is not a prerequisite to attend this seminar.
Topics addressed during the seminar include:
- Who are the Kids?
- The Middle School Concept
- Young Adolescents at Risk
- Developmentally Responsive/Middle Grades Leadership 5. Academic Excellence: Brain Based Instruction (if time permits)
- Inquiry and Providing Feedback (if time permits)
