THE 2019 PAMLE-PASAP CONFERENCE

The PAMLE Conference will be held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals (PASAP) Conference for the sixth consecutive year. This joint event will allow participants to attend sessions hosted by both organizations. PASAP is also proud to welcome the Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth (AEDY) Professionals. PAMLE is extremely excited to be celebrating its 36th annual conference! PAMLE is the leading advocate for middle level education in PA, promoting and enhancing the role of middle level education by promoting best instructional practices for young adolescents. The excitement continues as this year’s event will also mark the 27th annual conference for PASAP. PASAP is an association of school personnel and community-based program specialists organized to address the needs of our youth, reducing barriers to learning.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CREDITS
PAMLE is an Act 48 Approved Provider. We are pleased to announce that PAMLE and the Conference 2016 supports professional development credits from the PA Department of Education. You can earn up to 14 hours of Act 48 credit (full conference attendance). Participants must provide their Professional Personnel ID (PPID) number when registering and must submit the completed Participant Record at the conclusion of the conference to verify attendance at all sessions in their entirety to receive credit.
In an effort to be fiscally and environmentally responsible, PASAP and PAMLE have "Gone Green." Your session and conference evaluations are available electronically. Please visit the PASAP or PAMLE website at the conclusion of your session and following the entire conference to complete these evaluations. You must complete these evaluations in order to receive your Act 48, Social Work, or other credit. This will also assist speakers and future conference planning. Be sure to take some time during your stay to visit the exhibits throughout the conference area. Exhibitor tables will be located in the conference lobby, Dean's Hall area and the First Floor Break area for your convenience. The latest resources, textbooks, instructional materials, educational and treatment services will be available. Company representatives are looking forward to discussing their products and services as well as answering your questions. Please take time to visit the exhibit areas.
MATERIALS AVAILABLE AT THE BOOK TABLE!
Publications will be available for purchase at the book table in the conference registration area. Take advantage of this opportunity to acquire some of these excellent publications.
For the convenience of conference attendees, the committee has created a courtesy desk. At all times throughout the day there will be a PAMLE or PASAP board member there to help answer any questions you may have.
Meal tickets have been placed in the conference materials you received upon registering. Meals included with your complete registration include, Sunday dinner, Monday breakfast and lunch as well as Tuesday breakfast. Please be certain you have all your meal tickets with you, as they will be collected each meal.
Scattered throughout the conference there will be many opportunities to win prizes. These prizes have been donated by our sponsors as well as gathered by Executive Board members from area businesses throughout the Commonwealth. Just by being registered, your name is automatically included for the prize drawings. Please note, when winners’ names are drawn you must be present to win! Many Exhibitor's will also present prizes to those who have visited their table. Another great reason to visit all the exhibitor tables during the conference.
Note to attendees: PASAP/PAMLE photographers will be taking conference shots for our newsletter and web page. If you prefer not be photographed, please alert the photographer.
Cancellations must be received in writing, postmarked by February 1, 2019.
Cancellations received prior to the cutoff date will receive a refund less a $50.00 service charge. Cancellations after the cutoff date, failure to attend or failure to notify Len Ference at Leonard7Ference@comcast.net will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee. Substitutes are always welcome. No refunds will be granted due to inclement weather.
CANCELLATION DUE TO UNFORESEEN EVENTS
If the PASAP-PAMLE Conference cannot be conducted due to acts of God, war, government regulation, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities or other emergencies making it inadvisable, illegal or impossible to provide the facilities or to hold the meeting, each prepaid registrant will receive any gifts provided to conference attendees. Fixed conference expenses will be paid from the registration funds. Any remaining funds will be refunded to registrants. PASAP-PAMLE is not responsible for any other costs incurred by registrants in connection with the conference.
